Audrey Lake
A quaint, quiet location! Audrey is best know for combining good brook trout fishing with excellent walleye and pike fishing as well. The lake provides plentiful walleyes and pike and, for brook trout enthusiasts, there is a one hour walk to a beautifully isolated part of the Bad River. Anglers targeting brook trout often proclaim that the further into the wilderness you go, the better the fishing and Audrey is no exception. Here the pool, below a 50' waterfalls, is the furthest point for sea-run brook trout from James Bay. In August, especially, when the summer rains have swelled the river, the brookies come up and get caught in the pool as the waters subside after the rains. For the more adventurous, one can wade down stream through rapids to another pool as well that is virtually unfished.
